SCRUB Privacy Policy

SCRUB is a local file-renaming utility. It is designed to preview and rename files on your device, after you choose files or folders and confirm the selected changes.
Files and filenames
SCRUB does not upload your files or folder contents to a SCRUB server. File and folder names are read in your browser so the app can generate previews. Renames happen only after you select rows and confirm the rename action.
Local storage
SCRUB may save settings, rename presets, a TMDb API key you enter, and saved folder handles in browser storage on your device. This helps restore your preferences and reconnect folders later. You can clear this data from your browser or app storage settings.
Optional TMDb lookup
If you enter your own TMDb API key and click the TMDb lookup button, selected movie or show names may be sent to TMDb to search for title and year metadata. This feature is optional and user-initiated.
Hosting and diagnostics
If SCRUB is hosted on the web or packaged as a web-based Android app, the hosting provider or platform may create standard technical logs such as IP address, user agent, request time, and error diagnostics. SCRUB does not use those logs to build advertising profiles.
Permissions
SCRUB asks for file or folder access only when you choose files, open a folder, choose an output folder, or reconnect previously saved folders. Access is controlled by your browser or Android system.
Children
SCRUB is a productivity utility and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
